Inclusive support and diverse care, empowering all individuals
At Converge International, we understand the value of diversity in building a mentally healthy workplace. We’ve been a leader in providing tailored services to meet the needs of diverse communities, fostering inclusion and offering specialist support through our industry-leading helplines and programs.
Specialised Helplines
Reducing barriers to accessing support when it matters most
As industry leaders, Converge International was first to market with seven specialised helplines, designed to meet the unique needs of marginalized or vulnerable communities. Our helplines serve a dual purpose:
- Fast-tracking support: Connecting individuals directly with skilled, culturally attuned professionals, bypassing traditional triage systems and overcoming common barriers like call reluctance.
- Managing high-risk situations: While call volumes may be low, the acuity and risk associated with these calls are often significant. Our approach enables better individual risk management, which also helps mitigate organisational risks.
Our specialised helplines include support for:
- First Nations
- LGBTQI+
- Family and Domestic Violence
- Disability & Carers
- Eldercare
- Spiritual and Pastoral Care
- Youth and Student

Our commitment to a culture of inclusion
At Converge, we believe that fostering an inclusive workplace is everyone’s responsibility. So, we go beyond helplines to ensure that all employees, regardless of their background, abilities, or circumstances, can access our services:
Diversity and Inclusion Training
Programs like our “It’s a Matter of Respect” seminar and our Cultural Intelligence Program help organisations address unconscious bias and workplace respect. Multilingual consultants, interpreter services, and CALD-focused support across various languages and cultural contexts are heavily considered as well.
First Nations Engagement
Yarning circles, mentoring, and out-of-country support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees.
Workplace Respect & Inclusion
Examples such as our Queensland transport company program, where we collaborated with internal D&I teams to deliver a state-wide Workplace Inclusion & Respect training program.
We also go beyond helplines to ensure that all employees, regardless of their background, abilities, or circumstances, can access our services:
- Culturally Appropriate Counselling: Multilingual consultants, interpreter services, and CALD-focused support across various languages and cultural contexts.
- Disability Inclusion: Accessible workplaces, WCAG 2.0 compliance for digital assets, and a Social Procurement commitment to work with disability employment partners.
- Gender Diversity: 73% of Converge employees are female, with 40% of our Board and more than half of our Executive team are women.
- Flexible Work Policies: Ensuring respect for individual differences, flexible work options, and equitable opportunities for all employees.
- Accessibility for all: Ensuring our buildings and counselling sites are physically accessible
Commitment to Accessibility
At Converge, we believe our services should be available and accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance or ability. Equally, we understand that your teams are made up of people from all walks of life and, as such, we aim to cater for all, regardless of social identity.
- We make every endeavour (where practically possible) to ensure all our digital solutions and assets are accessibility friendly, guided by the World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at the AA level.
- We use state-of-the-art AI technology that boasts an Accessibility Interface with UI, design, visual and cognitive related adjustments for a better user experience.
- Our core downloadable files have been remediated to meet accessibility standards. And, our core video content includes closed captioning.
- We also offer 7 specialist helplines designed to support diverse communities who have specific and unique needs.
