A team dynamics assessment is a structured 3 step process where a trained mediator:
-
Conducts a team assessment through individual interviews to identify presenting and underlying issues; these are issues that are impacting on team dynamics and harmony (in positive and negative ways)
-
Makes recommendations to management for appropriate interventions
-
Supports management with the implementation of selected interventions
A team dynamics assessment is usually conducted for specific teams within a business or organisation. The focus of the assessment is on the factors that contribute to conflict and on achieving an agreement among team members on specific steps that can be taken to address and resolve the conflict. The impact of the conflict on the team, and maximising the ongoing wellbeing of the team, are a central part of the assessment. The assessment is non-punitive, solution oriented and future focused.
Please note that all requests for team dynamics assessments need to be approved by a staff member with senior authority within the organisation.
