01 — Care that’s immediate and accessible

EAP Support for your employees’ wellbeing challenges and hurdles

Your employees juggle a lot: work, personal life, and everything in between. When the pressure builds, it can be hard to manage. That’s why our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed to meet them exactly where they are. We believe in a proactive approach to EAP counselling. By using our employee counselling programs, your employees will feel supported, cared for, and safe in a compassionate, driven environment.

Whether they’re dealing with everyday stress or challenging issues like conflict, grief, sleep issues like insomnia, or anxiety, we’re here to provide the support they need to feel better and stay focused. According to AIHR data, a perception of not being valued and acknowledged, and poor work-life balance are significant drivers for employee dissatisfaction. Equally, they found that employees felt that their wellbeing wasn’t a priority, causing disengagement.

When the pressure starts to builds, our EAP is designed to meet employees exactly where they are — so they feel supported, cared for and safe.

What is an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)?

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a professional support service offered by organisations to help employees manage personal and work-related issues. EAP counselling services typically include confidential employee counselling, coaching, and referrals that enhance workplace wellbeing and employee engagement.

Why should my organisation offer EAP counselling?

Providing EAP counselling helps employees proactively manage stress, burnout, conflict, and mental health challenges. It contributes to a psychologically safe workplace, reduces absenteeism, and improves organisational performance.

What services are included in Employee Assistance Counselling?

Our Employee Assistance Counselling services include:

  • Psychological support across a defined quota of sessions
  • Mental health and wellbeing counselling
  • Crisis intervention
  • Manager support and critical incident response
  • Financial, nutritional, career and legal guidance
  • Work-life balance strategies

How confidential is employee counselling through an EAP?

Confidentiality is critical. EAP counselling is delivered by independent professionals and no personal information is disclosed to the employer unless the employee consents or there’s an immediate safety concern. This encourages genuine help-seeking.

How can employees access counselling support?

Employees can access employee counselling 24/7 via a dedicated phone line, mobile app, online portal, or in-person sessions. Flexible appointment options make it easy to fit support into busy schedules.

Who is eligible for EAP services?

Most EAP providers extend services to all employees, and often to immediate family members as well. This supports not just workplace wellbeing but also home life, which often impacts work performance.

How many counselling sessions are included?

Typically, employers offer a set number of employee assistance counselling sessions per issue, per year. If further support is needed, EAP professionals can help facilitate external referrals to ongoing care or specialist services.

What issues can employees seek help for through the EAP?

Common reasons employees seek EAP counselling include:

  • Stress, anxiety, depression
  • Conflict with colleagues or managers
  • Relationship or family concerns
  • Burnout and work overload
  • Financial pressure or legal worries
  • Grief, trauma, or critical incidents

Can EAP counselling support managers and leaders?

Absolutely. Many EAP providers offer specialised manager support, including coaching, advice for handling sensitive people issues, and strategies for fostering psychological safety. This empowers leaders to respond effectively and ethically.

What are the business benefits of offering employee assistance counselling?

Offering employee assistance counselling boosts productivity, reduces turnover, and supports mental health across the organisation. It signals your commitment to employee wellbeing and positions your organisation as an employer of choice.
